My Birthday!!

Thank you everyone for all my birthday wishes through e-mail, facebook and calls!! I had a nice day even if Kevin was away:)

Sunday night I got to have a wonderful date with my husband we had a amazing dinner out at my favorite Thai restaurant but ever since we spent the time in Thailand nothing really compares;) But it was so nice just being out without the kids he said we have to do this more often I agree. Kevin, Mary & Simon got me a cool dive watch very exciting for me!! Very Very spoiled:) HEHE

Yesterday I turned 37 yikes 37 did I say 37 wow time passes so fast.

I was wondering if Kevin had forgotten my birthday it was after lunch and I still had not heard from him. It  is not like him he remembers everything and always goes out of his way on special occasions for me. Then there was a ring at the door and this is what I got:)

The delivery guy says to me, this is for you?? Oh Ya I said, Nascar he said??

  Oh Ya  he knows me so well!! Fruit-check, Chocolate-check, Nascar-check, Jimmie Johnson-check!!

Spoiled you bet!

I have said it many times that I have the most wonderful friends and even though Kevin was away i got to spend the evening with my bestest friends yes I know it's not a word but that is what they are to me:) I was extremely spoiled and love them all so much. thank you thank you thank you:0) For all my presents, company and a yummy dinner oh and I can't forget the wine!! I also share my birthday with one of my best friends so it's always fun!!

Thank you so much Mame for staying with the kids:) What a great birthday present to leave the

house and not have to worry because I ALWAYS DO:)

Easter with the Yangs

Easter this year was a lot of fun!! We got to spend a day on the farm in spring which we all love and the Easter bunny found Simon and Mary at my parents this year!

We spent one of the days in Rimbey at my best friends farm. To my kids it is heaven on earth I think:) No parents lecturing about strangers, watching cars before they cross the road, stay in these 4 yards or else. I love that they have a place they can just be kids! Climb trees, explore, leave the house for hours and get really really dirty:0) Well this place is Uncle Wayne's and Auntie Stacy's farm:0)

Weekend in the Mountains!!

At the end of spring break we headed off for a weekend in Banff!! As always we stayed at the Douglas Fir which we love it's cozy and fun for the whole family!! We usually don't even leave the hotel:) Kevin and I always rent the same kind of room it has a loft for the kids to sleep in, our own room  and a wood burning fireplace with kitchen oh ya we love it:) This year my parents, Steven, Ang and the girls joined us and we had a great time.

Diving, Hockey and Gymnastics!!

It's been awhile since I have blogged but today is our families lazy day!! The last couple weeks have been very busy!

Kevin and I went to Roatan Honduras for a week of diving with our friends:) The weather was beautiful, food more then amazing and "The Reef House" was small, cozy and wonderful.  Kevin dove 18 times and can you believe it I dove 11 times:) Yes I am a diver now! HeHe I think Kevin is proud of me but never says much. Thanks again to my Mom and Dad for taking the kids for 9 days! We had a wonderful time!

When we got home Simon played hockey 5 times in 8 days and Mary had dance and gymnastics yikes we were busy!

He loves hockey so much!!!

no fear and is very determined on the gym floor just a bit scary:)

Happy Valentine's 2011

Eleven years ago this Valentines Day was our first Valentines together!!

 Kevin remembered me saying that the Calgary Tower was special in our family because my parents were engaged in the restaurant at the top of the tower! So for our first Valentine's day he took me there:)

So this year Simon had to keep the secret for a long time that Kevin was taking us all there for Valentine's Day!!! But our house has been so sick lately he had to cancel the reservations we were all disappointed. But this family day weekend we finally got our Valentine's Day Lunch at the top of the tower!! It was the kids first time to the top of the Calgary Tower and we were all excited! Here are some pictures of our morning the weather was great and we could see all the mountains beautifully. Simon and Mary loved that the restaurant moved while we ate and we got to go all the way around twice!!!

My baby is 6!!! Happy Birthday Simon

I can't believe he is 6:( I enjoy my time at home with him and this September it's going to come to an end which makes me very sad. I love to watch him play lego by the hour, trying to sound out words as he learns how to read, playing Wii and getting so upset when his 3 year old sister kicks his butt:) HEHE Sorry had to say it! Cuddling he is the worlds best!! Asking me questions I don't know the answer to at 5 yikes help me! Playing in the yard with his friends and listening to the imagination! I sure hope it continues to grow!

Time is going way to fast for me.

He wanted to have a Lego party this year so that's what we did!! It amazes both Kevin and I that we really don't have to help him much anymore.
